Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
In a large bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly with the seasoning mixture.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Place the chicken wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap.
Cook the chicken wings in the air fryer for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time.
After 12-15 minutes, brush the chicken wings with barbecue sauce on both sides.
Return the chicken wings to the air fryer and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until they are crispy and cooked through.
Remove the chicken wings from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side for dipping.
